Military & Resiliency
I specialize in and have worked extensively with both the active duty and Veteran military community.
I assist individuals and couples with a variety of stressors including combat-related trauma and injuries, anxiety, depression, military sexual trauma, deployments and frequent relocations.
Before opening my private practice, I previously worked for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Vet Center Readjustment Counseling Program.
I currently serve as the Mental Health and Resiliency Advisor for Semper Fi Odyssey (SFO).
SFO is a six-day, holistic transition-assistance program for combat-wounded, ill, and injured active duty service members and veterans providing them with life planning skills to assist with their re-entry into civilian life.
Primarily focused on self assessment, personal and professional planning, higher education, interviewing skills, and enhancing family relationships, SFO also teaches tools to strengthen mental, physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.
SFO provides a mentor that participants build a relationship with during the retreat and continue to work with after they return to their community. The program is free, due to the generous support of the Semper Fi Fund and America's Fund.
